Yesterday I gave myself permission to not give a fuck!
I removed my superwoman cape, and It felt great to not care about or cater to anything or anyone except myself.
The kids, the guy, the weight of opinions, my to do list, work.
None of that mattered.
Yesterday, I chose to be selfish! Yesterday I chose me!
I went thrifting because searching for hidden gems bring ME joy. I allowed myself to get lost in moments. I bought myself flowers and wrote MYSELF a love letter.
I ended the day in my silk robe, black lace and mesh nightgown, my fuzzy teddy bear house shoes, two bottles of my favorite red wine and a carefully curated series of NPR Tiny Desk concerts.
Yesterday was necessary. Yesterday recharged me.
Today I woke up feeling refreshed.
I feel wonderful.
I now have the energy to give a fuck!
