The power of positive thinking
There’s always reason to celebrate! Find the silver lining to spite adversity. Ask Yourself, what did I learn? How can I grow from this?
Take a deep breath and list just a few reasons to smile.
Sometimes it’s a laundry list of things you may feel grateful for, sometimes its a simple childhood memory. Other times it may be a simple statement of, wow, I survived some crazy shit, I did that! Go ME!!!
Were human, so dwelling on situations is natural. I’m guilty of it, and I’m sure many of you are too. But after dwelling and feeling the raw emotion of that moment, then what? what’s next? whats next is you move the fuck on! you shift your energy and intentions in a positive direction. You do this because you deserve to have a good day.
You do not allow bad moments or memories rob you of having a good day.
Floating aimlessly in a stormy sea of emotion, being swallowed by the darkness of a bad moment that spins and weave into a bad day is easy to do. But, would’nt you rather spend the day feeling happy and finding reasons to celebrate the many gifts that life has to offer?
What im tryna say is fuck all that sad shit!
Smell the roses, dance in the rain, and laugh in place of crying, or laugh while you cry. Do whatever you have to do to make sure that you have a good day.
Trick your mind into a state of positivity.
Shift focus from negative to positive; now anchor yourself to that feeling, and row the muthafukin boat. move on.
My list of tricks include, but are not limited to:
· Tell yourself how proud you are for overcoming your past and current challenges.
· Envision yourself a few months from “now” after the storm has passed. See how happy you look!
· Write yourself a toast, pop a bottle of champagne (or sparkling juice) and toast to you!
· Stop taking everything so serious and personal!
· Hug someone for 45 seconds while smiling. 😊
· Do a few sets of laughing jumping jacks (Because who can stay serious and angry doing something so silly)!!
· Have a chat with your nearest toddler. they be saying some crazy shit so youre bound to laugh a lil bit
· Eat some chocolate!
Do what works for you,
but absolutely, under no circumstances, should you rob yourself of, or delay, happiness.
There is so much magic to be found in the here and now. Happiness is a choice!
Always try your best to find a reason, no matter how small, to celebrate.
Pop those bottles and shake ya tailfeather! or maybe fuk on sumthin, cause sometimes that’s the medicine, lol lol!!
